Good Morning my Children... lol Here I am in Londinium. The flight over was pretty good. Air Canada staff worked hard to keep us happy and fed. The food was palatable for plane food. I was lucky to have a free chair beside me and a quite lovely lady in the window seat to chat with. The flight was uneventful for the most part though we had a medical emergency in the middle of the flight. The crew showed they are well trained and with the assist of a medical doctor on board stabilized their patient and she was alright through the rest of the flight.
Getting through Heathrow was easy as always and the tube trip to Knightsbridge was a great people watching session as was the bus trip to our London home. I had forgotten how much I missed London. It truly is the hub of humanity.
After a brief stop at the flat Mother, Glory and I headed out to the Kings Road to pick up the one thing I forgot on the boat, my phone plug, and get a new sim card so I am up and running here. Today I will set up a new bank account as I will be here in London for perhaps six months this time before returning to Canada's west coast to take Theros out of mothballs. I have my first meeting with the National Kidney foundation fund raising chair tomorrow at lunch and hope to get the ball rolling on a fund raising effort to assist in Kidney Donor financing. I also hope to get hold of the Discovery Channel people over the next few days and will have more info on how that will go shortly. For now suffice it to say that I have managed to catch up on the jet lag quickly and slept most of the night so am up and running today. I will definitely be getting a good walk in today and see some of this city I love so much.
Hope this finds all of you well.
